Keith Jardine to Square Off with Chuck Liddell

When Keith Jardine was laying on the campus after a 48-second thrashing at the hands of UFC newcomer Houston Alexander, it's unlikely he was thinking that his next bout would be against UFC superstar Chuck Liddell. But then again, Liddell hadn't been similarly laid to waste by Quintin "Rampage" Jackson at that point.

But with both fighters coming off defeats, UFC matchmaker Joe Silva likely figured a striking war for the two fierce competitors would be a great test for both fighters and, what's more important, a thrilling contest for the fans.

Although Liddell appears to be the heavy favorite both with fans and bettors alike, Jardine promises he'll bring something Chuck may not expect: brutal leg kicks, precise strikes and cardio for days. Whether that will carry the fight, though, remains to be seen.
